Live Streams & Concerts to Watch

While we can’t open our doors to you just yet, we still want to bring you entertainment! As the nation adjusts to the new reality of life at home, several artists and musical institutions are taking the show online to share some musical joy during these trying times.

The entertainment world has come together during this time and thanks to their dedication and creativity, there are plenty of things you can watch from the comfort of your couch. From Miley Cyrus to the Harlem Globetrotters, there is something for everyone!

• June 27: Josh Groban will play a special intimate livestream concert on June 27th at 4 p.m. EST. Joined by long-time guitarist Tariqh Akoni and piano player Mark Stephens, Josh will perform a full concert set spanning his illustrious career, including some of his greatest hits, fan favorites and a few new songs. Fans who purchase a ticket will receive access to watch the livestream on JoshGroban.com, and the stream will be accessible for 48 hours after the event. Watch the trailer here. 

• June 26: Join us on our Facebook page every Friday at 4pm for #FeaturedArtistFridays where we provide a virtual stage for local artists! This week we have LIVE performances by Tia McGraff and Justin Plet.

• June 25: A variety of A-list musicians, including Katy Perry and Adam Lambert, have banded together for an upcoming LGBTQ2 benefit show by the name of Can’t Cancel Pride: A COVID-19 Relief Benefit for the LGBTQ+ Community. Can’t Cancel Pride will be hosted by American radio DJ Elvis Duran and Orange is the New Black star/LGBTQ2 advocate, Laverne Cox. You can catch it on the iHeart Radio Facebook page at 9:00 p.m. EST. 

• June 24: Pearl Jam, Ben Gibbard, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Macklemore, Dave Matthews and more Seattle musicians are participating in the All in WA streaming concert to raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts across Washington state. The concert begins at 10 p.m. EST, and can be streamed on Amazon's Twitch channel. It will be available on Amazon Prime after it airs.

  June 6: Lady Gaga, BTS and Barack Obama are set to give a commencement speech during YouTube's "Dear Class of 2020" virtual commencement. The event will also feature appearances by Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, and more.  The schedule will be announced on May 17; the event can be streamed on YouTube.

• May 30: Live Nation Canada and Budweiser announced Budweiser Stage at Home, a weekly one-hour concert experience for fans to enjoy in the comfort of their own home. The iconic waterfront music venue will be transported from downtown Toronto into the homes of Canadians from coast to coast. The series premier will feature The Black Crowes with The Trews and hosted by Juno-nominated musician and Rogers Hometown Hockey host, Tara Slone. Beginning Saturday, May 30 at 8 p.m. EST, music fans can watch the special weekly concert series each Saturday on Citytv and Citytv.com. The events will also be available to stream on the Citytv iOS and AppleTV apps as well as Live Nation’s Live From Home platform.
   
• May 29: Join us on our Facebook page every Friday at 4pm for #FeaturedArtistFridays where we provide a virtual stage for local artists! This week we have LIVE performances by Jason Mercer and Justine Chantale hosted by Kyle Gimard from Country 104 and presented by WINMAR.
   
• May 29: The Dropkick Murphys are performing from an empty Fenway Park, with pal Bruce Springsteen joining them remotely. The band and The Boss will be doing a double play -- two songs --  one from each musical act. The Livestream will be available on the Dropkick Murphy's Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and pages, and begins at 6:00 p.m. EST.
   
• May 27: Adam Lambert, Jordin Sparks, Kelly Osbourne, Laurie Hernandez and more are set to participate in Stronger Than You Think, a three-day livestream event which will address teen mental wellness. It kicks off each day at 5:00 p.m. EST, ending at 10:00 p.m. EST, and will be available on Facebook. More Info CLICK HERE.
   
• May 5: Latin music stars Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Luis Fonsi, J Balvin, Diane Guerrero and Ana Brenda Contreras have teamed for Eva Longoria's virtual Cinco de Mayo celebration. The virtual concert will stream live on Facebook Live, Youtube, Twitch, Twitter, iHeartLatino’s radio stations and websites, among other social media platforms, on May 5 at 5 p.m. EST. The event is free to watch but viewers will be encouraged to make donations.
   
• May 4: The New York Guitar Festival kicks off its daily shows with live performances and appearances at 4:00 p.m. EST each day, streaming on its YouTube channel. The event will begin with Rosanne Cash and John Leventhal on May 4. The festival continues daily, and ends May 15. Donations will benefit MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.

• April 24, 25 + 26: Digital music festival Room Service kicks off April 24-26, with performances by Yungblud, Channel Tres, Pink Sweat$, Chromeo, Zeds Dead, Borgore, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Gallant, Griz, Mt. Joy, Trevor Daniel, RAC, Jeremy Zucker, Shallou & more (full lineup here). Proceeds from the event will go directly to COVID-19 relief efforts, including Sweet Relief and Feeding America.
   
• April 21: Third Eye Blind are performing live during their "Quarantine Kitchen Sessions" every Tuesday at varying times on the band's Instagram account to promote social distancing. 
   
• Canada Together in Concert: Country stars are coming together to support Canada’s COVID-19 relief efforts. ET Canada has partnered with the Canadian Country Music Association Foundation for “Canada Together: In Concert”, an unprecedented five-night broadcast featuring intimate performances and exclusive conversations with 20 of the biggest names in country music. The concert series will support Food Banks Canada and Unison Benevolent Fund’s COVID-19 relief efforts. Canadians wishing to donate can do so via a one-time or monthly donation option at the CCMA Foundation website, or by texting CCMA to 20222. Along with the virtual performances, “Canada Together: In Concert” will also pay special tribute to some of the courageous individuals who are making a difference in their communities amid the pandemic.

• April 24+25: Twitch will host a free virtual music festival on April 24 and 25, featuring: The Struts, NETTA, Flora Cash, Hanson, MILCK and more to benefit MusiCares
   
• April 18+19: BTS' "Bang Bang Con" Livestream concert series kicks off with four of eight classic shows, spread out over two nights. The special online streaming event consisting of eight parts is available for free and will take place on April 18 and 19, each day starting at 11 p.m. EST via the official YouTube channel BANGTANTV (April 17 and 18, each day starting from 11:00 PM in EST
   
• April 18: The Killers will conduct a Q&A and performance on Instagram Live starting at 3 p.m. EST
   
• April 10: Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert, the documentary about the annual music festival, hits streaming services on the date it was originally supposed to open. 
   
• April 11: Facebook Live will be hosting Human to Human, a benefit event from noon to midnight EST. Confirmed performances include Alec Bejanim, Andrew McMahon, Butch Walker, Grouplove, Hunter Hayes, Jensen McRae, Jewel, Lauren Daigle, Lucie Silvas, Nicolas Petricca (Walk The Moon), Sam Nelson Harris (X Ambassadors), Skylar Grey, Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), Tori Kelly and more. • Michael Buble is going live with his wife Luisana Lopilato every day at 5 p.m. EST on his Facebook Channell.

• Cirque du Soleil launched a new digital content hub called CirqueConnect, available HERE. Moved by a desire to stay connected to their fans, Cirque du Soleil’s content hub provides a source of high-quality entertainment for fans to enjoy in the comfort of their home, as current measures to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) have suspended live viewing experiences across the globe. 
   
• The Harlem Globetrotters have launched educational videos on their YouTube Channel. 
   
• Metallica announced #MetallicaMonday’s every Monday at 8 p.m. EST on Facebook, when they will be sharing some of their best performances. 
   
• Josh Gad is reading children's stories live every night on Twitter to help people feel better because the world is a "hot mess". 
   
• Arkells host live music sessions every day at 1 pm on their Instagram and they’ve featured some pretty awesome celebrity guests.  
   
• Phish announced, “Dinner and a Movie” series, in which every Tuesday they will present an archival video series at 8:30 p.m. EST on their Facebook page.  
   
• Miley Cyrus' "Bright Minded" series on Instagram Live at 2:30 p.m. Check out the full schedule for this week here. 
   
• Rob Thomas daily #SocialDistancingSessions series on his Facebook. 
   
• Charli XCX has announced a new series of daily "self-isolating" Instagram livestream shows, kicking off today here at noon EST  
   
• Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard will play songs every day from his home during the coronavirus quarantine as a thank you to his fans. You can watch on YouTube and Facebook. 
   
• Neil Young - Fireside Sessions - his wife will be filming while he gives a live concert from his living room, presumably by the fire. It looks like his dogs could feature heavily, too. Young is promising a "down-home production, a few songs, a little time together". CLICK HERE. 
   
• Linkin Park celebrated the 20th anniversary of Hybrid Theory by reacting to never-before-seen concert footage from 2001. See it here. 
   
• Hunter Hayes will perform sessions for a series titled “In The Lab”. Each episode will be 12-15 minutes long and will feature the country singer-songwriter "building his songs from scratch." Said Hayes in a statement, “It's like taking my studio on the road. Every night, we start from scratch, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.” Each performance will be recorded in advance and shared via YouTube Premiere on his channel on April 7 and April 14. 
   
• Radio.com has launched “Radio.com Live: And the Beat Goes On,” a 24/7 live event channel which will be on for the next 30 days.

In response to slowing the spread of COVID-19, many businesses have been forced to close their doors. One of the earliest impacted sectors was the entertainment industry. With the closure of music venues, theatres, bars and pubs, live music events came to a rapid halt in an effort to 'flatten the curve'. The result has left many musicians and industry workers without an income. We all cherish the creators and the value they bring to our communities both socially and economically.
